Rename
bulk rename with preview
build v6.0
Rename a whole folder of files in one pass — find & replace, add a prefix or suffix, number them in sequence, or change case. You see every old → new name (and any clash) before anything changes, and nothing happens until you confirm. Files are renamed in place on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Chrome or Edge only. Renaming files on disk needs the File System Access API, which Firefox and Safari don't support yet — open this page in Chrome or Edge.

The preview shows exactly what will change; rows that would collide with another file are flagged and block the rename until you resolve them. Renaming uses the browser's native move where available, otherwise a safe copy-then-remove — either way the file contents are untouched. There's no undo, so glance over the preview first. Only files in the folder's top level are listed (subfolders are left alone). Everything runs on your device.
