Uses your browser's built-in speech recognition — works in Chrome and Edge. Some browsers (Firefox, and Safari on some systems) don't support it.
Transcription uses the Web Speech API built into your browser, which may send audio to the browser maker's speech service to convert it to text — that part is outside Pencilbox and depends on your browser. Pencilbox itself stores and uploads nothing; the text stays on this page until you copy or download it. Accuracy varies by microphone, accent and background noise.
