The secret is encoded as invisible zero-width characters and tucked after the first character of the carrier, so copying the text carries the message with it. Some apps strip unusual characters, which would quietly remove the hidden part. This hides a message in plain sight; it does not encrypt it — pair it with the text-lock tool if you need real secrecy.
